The High Line is a park in Manhattan that was built on a section of the former New York Central Railroad, elevated 9 meters above ground. The High Line was originally constructed in the 1930s, to lift dangerous freight trains off Manhattan’s streets and is now a perfect spot for relaxing, events, art, music etc. After its closure in 1980, the railroad started to fall in disrepair, therefore the structure was under the threat of demolition.

Many of you heard that Summer Olympic Games will be in London this year, from 27th July — 12th August. London will be first city who had Olympic Games three times. Today I invite all of you to helicopter excursion!

I must say, from an architectural point of view of London produces a depressing effect, especially after Beijing, with its luxurious stadiums. The main problem of the London Olympic projects: the strict dictates of government officials, which destroyed at the root all the attractive and spectacular elements of buildings. On the 14th of February millions of people around the world celebrate "Valentine's Day", which is associated with the name "Valentine". In fact this holiday is honoring one or more early Christian martyrs named Valentinus and it was first established by Pope Gelasius I in 496 AD.

The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. By the 15th century, it had evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines").
