The High Line is a park in Manhattan that was built on a section of the former New York Central Railroad, elevated 9 meters above ground. The High Line was originally constructed in the 1930s, to lift dangerous freight trains off Manhattan’s streets and is now a perfect spot for relaxing, events, art, music etc. After its closure in 1980, the railroad started to fall in disrepair, therefore the structure was under the threat of demolition.

Alexa Meade is a talented artist whose work lies at the intersection of painting, photography, performance, and installation. What you are about to see, are not paintings on canvas!
